This weekend

This should be a great weekend. We are off so we have no show but we do have rehearsal on saturday. Thursday is the cowboy game. I'm off Friday and the one that makes me smile when im having a bad day is supposed to be coming into town saturday night. Sunday i get to hang out with my folks, sister, brother-in-law and my 2 little angels.(nieces) Monday is Labor day party. Go out to the lake or something. 4 day weekend here i come. I am also exited because we have booked studio time for the next cd. Its going to be killer. The new stuff makes my liver quiver. Anyways im out for now.

Me the dumb A$$

OK here's some back story. I check our online calendar on Sunday night to see where and when we are playing the following weekend. As most of you know my internet has been down. For whatever reason I swore that we had Friday night off and PLaying in witchata falls on Saturday.(totally my mistake) I had dinner plans with my family for Friday night. Also, last weekend Oz was sick and I guess when I wasnt looking he kissed me a couple times because he got me sick. So anyway I was in a NyQuil daze from Wednsday afternoon until Friday morning. Well Friday afternoon about 4pm I get a call from Oz. I happened to be running errands and i was at the bank. I answered and he said "Hey bro just wanted to let you know i'm running a little bit late." I was like "late for what?" He said "We are meeting at the studio to load up the gear for the show." I said "Dude it's Friday." He said "I know were playing the falls tonight." We both thought we were just screwing with each other. Well i hauled ass from east plano where i live to Carrollton to the studio. I had to go home first and get my gig back and my clothes for the show. I got there at 4:31. I dont know how i didnt get a speeding ticket. When I got there Oz had already loaded the whole van himself. What a guy. He totally saved the day. It was all of our gear including our PA. Oz saved my ass big time. So Oz my Latino non-gay lover, Thank you for bailing a brother out of trouble i owe you big time bro. So yes im a dumbass i forgot about a show. They say the memory is the first thing to go. lol

Back online finally

Well good news campers comcast finally fixed the problem. Good times. Well lets see where do i start? First off Keith, my brother from another mother has left the band for reasons all of you already know from his and chris's blogs. I really enjoyed playing with him, when he was in a good mood. lol Well all I know is that the one thing that has been constant in this band is Chris, Oz, and myself. Like Chris said we are either real stupid or real smart only time will tell. All i know is that through all the bullsh&t there are those moments on stage when it is all worth it. Like when we finish recording a CD and listen to it after its been completed. It's beautifull and i'm lucky enough to share those moments with my brothers. Ok enough getting sappy next blog will be a funny story on how much of a dumb a$$ i am.

comcast still sucks

Ohhhh my god...have u ever been soooo frustrated with a company that knows they have u by the balls?? OK we pay almost 70 bucks a month with taxes and sh^t for high=speed cable internet. For the last 2+ months it has been almost as good as dial-up. We have had 5 techs come out and try to fix the problem and nothing has changed. Tommorow i am going to put the fear of god in the manager at comcast. He(or she) will not be happy when i show up tommorow. I have been nice, diplomatic, patient, but it all ends now. The worst part is im not close enough to a switch box to get dsl so its eaither comcast or dial-up. Bastards have us by the testies and thats not cool. I wish verizon would hurry up and get their sh^t together so i can tell comcast to go f$#k themselves. Sorry for the language but im almost to my breaking point. On the other hand we had last weekend off and i took advantage of doing what i do best....chillin....i left the house twice in 3 days but i played the sh&t out of my drums. I have a practice kit set up in the garage. Anyways im going to sleep. peace, love and duct tape.

Good times

Wow a crappy week turned into a fun weekend....we played last night at curtain club for habitat for humanity....when we played there was an ok crowd...it was great seeing one of my bros greg...met some cool bands.....well tonight we played out in tyler...they close at midnight so we get home somewhat early when we play there which is cool....great staff...decent crowd tonight had a good time....then on the way home magic happened.....we have alot of new material we have been working on and tonight we worked out the kinks in 2 of our newest ones.....im exited these are very good songs.....but the magic is way we worked together chris playing guitar in the passenger seat oz driving and singing and i was joning in with my out of key vocals...lol...then it got really funny becuase chris starting busting out old songs that we had wrote...like from 5+ years ago...it was funnny how many songs we wrote played and performed and almost forgot...ok well anyways im rambling im tired and bit faded and think i need sleep....im out
