Trouble in Paradise

Ok well it seems that Chris and Keith have been having a bit of a squabble on their blogs. They claim it stems from a golf game gone array but I have sensed the sexual tension between them for awhile. I left it in the back of my head because there is NO way. My mind has changed for 2 reasons. The boys have been talking about "Broke Back Mountain" a lot so I finally sat and watched it. It made me realize that two men can love each other but keep up a facade that they are straight. That made me think maybe Chris and Keith do love each other. Then today I read Keith's blog. Here is the exert from the blog.

3. I'm not sure where you think playing with myself more would help. But what WOULD help is you not standing next to me trying to put your hand in my pocket while I'm swinging, claiming that you're "just looking for some change so you can buy a soda".

Now I am a little worried that the true feelings might come out and then if they break up the band would be through. I guess let's all wish them the best. You guys know I love you no matter who you want to sleep with.

If you would like to watch the drama unfold then go read both of their blogs.

p.s. this blog is meant to be humorous and not offend anyone. If you take offence to this then you quit reading.

Tony Romo in the ProBowl

pic by cliff cook clcimagining.com

That's right ladies and gentlemen not only are my beloved Dallas Cowboys going to the playoffs this year but my man, Tony Romo has been invited to Hawaii this year for the ProBowl. This is a pretty amazing feat. He took over for Drew Bledsoe about halfway through the season and has led to the playoffs. He has the 2nd best quarterback rating this year second only to Peyton Manning. Tony Romo has been groomed by the Cowboys for four years just waiting for his time. His time is now. I have been screaming Romo! Romo! Romo! for years. So this year instead of celebrating Christmas I am going to celebrate ROMOdon. It will happen Christmas day at Texas Stadium when the Cowboys can become the Division Champions of the NFC East. The best part? I will be there in person to witness it. What a great day it is. How about them Cowboys!!!!!!!!

Does anybody read this

Now I know people read Chris's blog because he gets alot of comments on his blog. On the other hand I very rarely have anyone comment on my blogs. So here is my challenge, if you read my blog please a comment on this one. If no one repsonds then maybe it should tell me that noone is reading this and I can stop blogging. If there is a couple people out there that actually read this then I will continue to blog. So let me know if I'm wasting my time. Much love.

Weekend.....good then bad

Well this weekend started out great the middle was incredible and then the end really sucked. Let me fill you in. Well Friday was good. We had rehearsal and it was one of those beer drinking smoking practices where we worked on a couple songs and then jammed and had a blast. Chris showed us how awesome he has become on the piano. Stevie Wonder watch out. Well Saturday night we had just about the best show and crowd that I can remember. I want to thank all of you that came out to show the love. We had a blast and partied it up like rock stars. Well Sunday I left my house about 3p.m. to meet my buddy at Humperdink's over by Texas Stadium so we could goto the game. Well as I'm backing into a parking place I hear a loud metal on metal noise and then instantly the whole front end of my truck was on the ground. My lower ball joint(which holds the whole wheel on the axle) broke off and my wheel and tire was jammed under my truck at a 90 degree of the way it should be. Well I missed the game and spent Sunday in the cold rain covered parking lot. We finally got the ball joint replaced and I got home about midnight. I still have more to replace in the truck before I can really drive it. I will say it was a blessing that I wasn't driving down the highway when the ball joint broke and no one was hurt. More of an annoyance than anything. Then on top of all of that bs the Boys got their asses handed to them. We are still in frist place and if we win out we will win the division but wow what and ass beating. So that was my weekend in a nutshell. It was good, it was bad, and it was ugly.

Superman is back.........

Yep we decided to rerecord "Superman" the way it always sounded in our heads. I'll tell you one of my favorite memories of playing in this band actually revolves around "Superman". It was a show at Curtain Club about 3 years ago. Whenever we play "Superman" I sit behind the drums smoking a cigarette and ocasionaly hittting a cymbal. Well this night when it got to the part where Oz sings the line, "I'm coming home" where he holds it out at the end, I heard all of the crowd's voices over Oz's and it sent chills down my spine. It was one of the most incredible magical momments I have had in life. Ok enough sappyness. "Superman" the new version is now up on our myspace page.
http://www.myspace.com/monkeyshyne
So go listen to it refresh yourself with the words and let's see if we can create a new magical moment that we can all share. So get your ass out to Firewater Saturday and let's celebrate. Chill up that Jager cause we aim to party.

It is finally time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's right it is time for the hometown CD release party. You guys know we don't play at home(Dallas) as much as we used to and when we do get to play infront of a home crowd it's always special to me. Now last weekend we had our Temple Cd release party which was awesome. We had a great turnout, drank an assload of Jager, and I even mooned Frolic while driving down 35 at 4 in the morning so you know it was a party. This saturday we come home to Firewater. I want everyone who is a fan, friend, family member, total stranger, homeless guy, or buddy to be out there so we can do this up right. We are giving away an autographed guitar adn the actual stand that was on the cover of the new CD. Cover is $8 but parking is free and they have great drink specials as well as some of the best bands in Dallas. So I want to see everyone out there at the PARTY of the year. See you there. Much Love.

The Truth

Ok now alot of you know that we took all of November off. This is the first time the band has taken a whole month off and it was really weird. Now we were telling everyone that we were worn out need a vacation to charge our batteries but the I am here to tell everyone the truth. Keith just recently had a birthday. In October he told us that in his homeland(Sporkville) the birthday tradition is that the Birthay boy or girl must take a whole month off and spend it drinking in a foriegn country. We didn't want the time off but Sporkville's birthday charter took precidence and we were forced to take a month off. I was surfing the internet and found out that Keith spent the month of November is a small town in Mexico called Burro Fiesta(roughly translated, donkey party.) He drank all of their Jager and was forced to finally come home. So now that his birthday tradition is over it's time to play music agian. The CD release parties start this weekend in Temple and then next weekend in Dallas. So I ask every to wear a huge sombrero to the shows to make Keith feel like it's his birthday agian. Also if anyone has a donkey bring it along as well. Btw I found this picture on the Burro Fiesta's website. Must have been a hell of a party.
