Camping

It's 3:45 wed night/ thursday morning. I took Thursday off from work so i could extend this trip. We finaly got the truck packed. We could survive nuclear war with all the gear we got. I'm really stoked i need this trip. It's a good time to get away form the world and do some soul searching. Always good to look deep in yourself every once in awhile and make sure you are still the man/woman that you think you are. Well i will be gone until monday so see you monday hope everyone has a good weekend. Go see chris and oz play in denton. much love

Today was a beating

Man Mondays suck but I tell you what this one killed me but it was all my own fault. I had to be at work this morning and I went to sleep last night about 4:30 a.m. Don't you just hate it when your brain wont stop thinking about stuff and toss and turn all night? Well it took 3 red bulls 2 power bars and a 1 liter mnt dew to get through this day. Thanks god for caffeine and sugar. My bright spot of my day was when lady friend called to brighten my day. It was like she knew. She rocks. Ok well here's to hoping the rest of the week is better. Honestly who cares Thursday night I will be sitting around a camp fire playing my guitar and getting faded with friends. I cant wait. I'm out like trout

Good Weekend?

Alright let's see we played Curtain club Friday night. There was a good crowd there and we had a good show and also got ourselves a nice live recording from the show. It is always good to be back home agian playing at Curtain. Saturday we played out in Wichata Falls with Dan Dyer. We played to a packed house with about 85-90% of them have never heard of us and by the end of our set they were having a good time and buying alot of cd's t-shirts. I think we won them over. Well i do know that we missed seeing alot of hometowns fans friday night. :( But thanks to Josie, Stephen, Ben, Chrissann, and Glory for always being there to support. Next time i expect everyone to come out and help us show Dallas that we still got love in our hometown. Next weekend you guys go see chris and oz play the garage in denton, i hear there might be costumes. I will not be there because i will be CAMPING!!!!!!!! i can't wait. Until next time.

good weekend

I'm really getting exited about this coming up weekend. The stage I love to play more than any other, the place I like to call home, where everyone knows your name, cheers. No I'm kidding Curtain Club. Yep finally back home agian. We don't get to play Dallas as much as we used to but we have to keep trying to spread the shyne. Ok, that's Friday. Saturday we travel to the beautifull Witchata Falls, Texas. We get to play at one of our other favorite places to play because the owners, bartenders, waitresses, sound guy are cool as hell. We usually party a bit more in the falls. Jager here we come. Then Sunday my beloved Cowboys take on the Seatle Seahawks. It should be a good game. The key is to stop Alexander. We stop him we win. That's my plans for the weekend. Should be good times.

Camping

I don't know about anybody else but i'm a camper. Growing up my family used to go camping at least 3-4 times a year. We still try to do the family camping trip but with all of our schedules and my nieces sometimes it tough but every year me and my buddies take a camping trip in october. This years trip is less than 2 weeks away. I'm getting exited a good time to hang out with friends get hella f'ed up and enjoy nature. No tv, no radio, turn the cell phones off and really just enjoy the company of the people you hold dear to your heart. One of the best parts is sitting around the campfire playing guitar and djembe and relaxing. Did i mention hella f'ed up? lol This trip should be a blast we are going to lake mineral wells state park. Last year was cooper lake state park and the year before that was possum kindom. Who knows what next year will bring. Seacrest out.

btw i think oz did impregnate katie holmes but well seee when the paternity tests come back. should be early next week. It takes a bit longer because tom had to use l. ron hubbard to test it. Something about the mother alien and dog feces but i degress.

I've got the fix for bad moods

Have you ever had a real bad day when it seemed that everything that could go wrong did go wrong? You know the days when you don't want to talk to anybody. Just want to take some "me" time. How about them Cowboys???

The boys looked better sunday than they have in almost a decade. Now im not saying were the best in nfl yet but, we are now contenders. Now the funny thing about the game is Saturday night on the drive down to Temple we started talking football. Now i'm a cowboys fan and Chris is a Saints fan. We argued for awhile on who was best.(oz was in the back reading cosmo and ignoring us) We made a wager in the van that the cowboys will make the playoffs. Chris bet agianst me. He thinks they wont make it. I get a text message from him sunday during the game. He said it looks like he might just have to pay up. I told him I wanted 4 thousand dollar bills, 9 hundreds and 5 twenty's. He said but we only bet hugs. Well last time i looked chris my hugs were getting $5,000 on e-bay so save your money. I want to take the cash option:)

People can't f'ing drive

Ok Here is Colin driving tips 101. First off when you come to a red light and therre are 3 lanes of traffic and the right lane is empty but the others have a couple cars in them dont go into the right lane unless your going to turn right. Im getting sick of being stuck behind some that is not turning when there are 10 cars behind that are turning. It's rude. Secondly if your on the highway, tollway ect, do not drive in the fast lane unless your going to go fast the right lane is not for going the speed limit. Thirdly, when you come upto a light and it turns yellow, STOP. It might cost you a whole 2 minutes but i have seen soooo many wrecks by people tryin to beat the yellow light. It is sooo not worth it. Ok now here is the big one this is called the zipper. When there are alot of cars merging together if everyone would let just one car in the we would create a zipper effect and all would be good. But no we dumb asses that wont let anybody in and then there are the asses that will jump in and make everyone else slow down and it kills the zipper theory. Just try to be a better driver and then we can all go home a bit happier in the evening. Ok thats my 2 cents until next time. Secrest out

Im a Slack Ass

Sorry i have been slacking on my blogs. Well let's see my uncle passed away late last week and i wasnt able to attend the funeral which kinda sucks. This was my Uncle Mike. He was a veitnam vet. Big teddy bear. Kind heart always treated everyone with respect. He will be missed. OK on a lighter note i get to goto temple this weekend and im looking forward to it so i can see my lady friend. :) Long distance things deffinetly take a toll on the soul. But it has allowed me to get to really know who she is and what she believes in. I hate the phone and i spend hours on end talking this lady. The crazy thing is, i care about whatshe has to say. ok new topic. my cowboys lost. Not tooo happy about that one but i'm still drinking the koolaid(for of you not into sports that means i still think the cowboys are going to kick ass) Next week should be a great game. I think i show clearly in my blogs that have ADD. Secrest out
